Together at last.

Temari gazed into the baby blue sky hoping that she’d not have to die alone. She had only 3 weeks to live after being diagnosed with a cancer, of which a cure hadn’t been discovered yet. She’d hoped to get married within that time before her death, though she said it was doubted so much because the person she loved so much, she could never tell him.

Shikamaru was just an average boy; he was two years younger than Temari and loved her so much. Yet, he’d never tell her. Shikamaru spoke to her on rare occasions; she was his best mate, Sasuke’s cousin. To him, she meant everything.

A week had passed, still nobody. She began to self harm due to depression. She’d stay in her room all day, not come out till night and stopped contacting everyone. She was isolating herself. It was the only way she could feel safe. She had the doctor coming round to her house each night. Temari was on a lot of anti-depressants and she had started shaking constantly.

Coming to an end in her second week, she felt so bad; she had no will to live. She thought she should end it. Shikamaru had heard that she was having a lot of trouble with herself, so he felt like he had to see her. So that night, he tried to find the courage to go, he couldn’t though. Instead he went the next day.

That morning, he woke up slightly earlier than usual. He had a feeling something was going to go wrong. At about twelve, he set off to her house. He knocked. She answered with a 12 inch knife in her hand.

“I’ve been really worried about you Temari.”

She sobbed.

“I love you; you mean the world to me!”

Suddenly she dropped the knife and gazed at him in amazement. This was it; this was him, the boy she loved so much.

“And I want to spend the rest of my life with you!”

Temari hugged him.

“But I only have a week to live!” She told him.

“Well, we will get married this week!” He told her.

“But how will I know you really love me?” She asked him.

“I don’t know, you will have to find out.”

A few days passed and the wedding was the next day.

 She was getting weaker by the minute, she didn’t know if she’d last the rest of the week. She was starting to ache all over her body. She fell asleep telling herself “I’ll be ok.”

So the next day she woke up. She was a wreck of nerves. Soon it was time. She had got into her dress, a beautiful light blue and white dress.

She walked up the isle, looking paler than ever. There she stood at the front with everyone looking at them both. The priest asked them both for their vows. Then said

“Now, do you, Shikamaru take Temari to be your lawful wedded wife?”

“I do.”

“And do you Temari; take Shikamaru to be your lawful wedded husband?”

But before she could answer, she collapsed on the floor.

The next day, she woke in a hospital. Her parents and Shikamaru were around her. Shikamaru had obviously been in tears as his eyes were red and still wet. His face lit up when he saw that she was ok.

“I do!” She told him. Suddenly all they heard was the long depressing sound of a flatline.

He shouted a doctor in immediately.

“I’m sorry” the doctor said “She’s gone!”

Shikamaru stayed silent as the tears rolled down his face. He had to leave the hospital. He drove as fast as possible Temari’s house, opened the door and grabbed the knife that she dropped a couple of days before. He stood watching it as the light made it glisten.

“This is how I will prove that I love you.”

And at that moment, he held the knife close to his heart and pushed it all the way in. Within a few seconds, he had dropped to the floor gasping for air. They were together at last.

Just an average couple of friends, having no idea that they were destined to be as one.

Naruto and Hinata were friends and lived in towns close by. They had known each other for a few years since Hinata had moved and started going to the same school. Over some time, a feeling so un-explainable had found Hinata. She was in love. Each day she gazed into his sweet blue eyes and thought “I wish he was mine.” One day she couldn’t take it anymore, she had bottled things up for too long, she had to tell somebody how she felt. So she told her best friend Sakura. It was a Friday night and she told Hinata to ask Naruto out, she couldn’t, she couldn’t face the rejection of whom she loved so much. So Sakura had asked him for her. Hinata waited for the reply, every second felt like an eternity. She couldn’t take it, she had to get in touch with him and asked him herself. He didn’t reply. Sakura had got in contact with Hinata after a while. Hinata suddenly found she couldn’t swallow because she was so nervous. Then Sakura had told her Naruto said yes. She was thrilled. She barely spoke to him through the whole weekend.  And she barely spoke to him on Monday. Then, to her horror, on Tuesday she was told by a bunch of Naruto’s friends that they weren’t going out anymore. She was so confused and tried so hard to act like she didn’t care. She loved this boy so much, she was prepared to take her life for him. And knowing that Naruto didn’t like her any longer made her feel unwanted and as if nobody could ever love her again, nor she love again. Little did she know that somebody else loved Naruto, It was no other than her best friend Sakura. Sakura had been living a lie having to act fake the whole time and having to face him each day. Eventually Hinata almost faded away in her own thoughts of Naruto. Still having to see him each day, she tried so hard to get to know why he didn’t want her no longer, but he didn’t want to know her. For almost a year Hinata had lived with total avoidance and being ignored by the boy she was madly in love with, still is madly in love with, he had been talking to her. After the October holidays, she had slightly changed, maybe for the better, but nobody could be sure. Naruto had started talking to her a lot more. But at first she didn’t like it, being ignored by the person she loved for almost a year was torture for her and she had got used to it. So when he did talk to her, it felt funny, as if he knew he was wrong.

Hinata knew that wasn’t the case for she found Naruto liked his best friend, Sasuke’s cousin, Temari. Hinata was drowned in her thoughts of him. Eventually she had no will to live, and felt that if Naruto didn’t love her, there was no point to life.

So she took her life, knowing that now Naruto might understand how much Hinata loved him. Naruto had found out what she’d done. He tried to act like he didn’t care, but it was no use. It was obvious that he really cared about her. Living without her was felt pointless to him. The police were in Hinata’s room, as they were searching, they found her diary, a photo of Naruto and Hinata together and a story titled Naruto and Hinata’s Love Story. The police gave him these belongings. Naruto read the story first. Once he had finished the last sentence at the bottom saying I Love You Naruto, he realized how much she meant to him and that they were meant to be. He clenched the picture of them both together, and then took his life for their love.
